A jewellery store in London has announced it has swapped all of its existing shop lighting for low energy LED fixtures, in a bid to both cut down on energy bills and help to show its products in the best possible way. According to Retail Jeweller, Marmalade Jewellery in Chiswick has converted its halogen lighting fixtures to LEDs. Speaking to the source, owner of the store Simon Johnson said that he is "delighted" with the lighting change. As well as the addition of LED lighting, the store owners also chose to install ambient lighting to the store. "The LEDs highlight the product better and create a much nicer sense of product focus," said Mr Johnson. The source noted that while the shop LEDs may have cost more to install than traditional bulbs, the savings and longer life span of the fixtures will see the investment paid for in less than four years. Meanwhile, it was recently noted that exposure to LEDs could help people to get clearer skin, reported E Light Bulbs.
